a pleasant good morning talker it is 5:30 a.m. saturday march 19. here's some of the stories we're following on "action news" a car needed to be towed due to be stuck on a buckled road from a water main break. plus, they stood for years, but they will be gone in seconds as the housing authority brings down two highrise buildings.

at our website. head to it is now, 5:32 arc north philadelphia road buckled overnight following a water main break at the intersection of north 8th and norris street while the "action news" cam was there an suv was towed away after it was driven on to the buckled road. you can see the hole left from the broken water main. water company crews will be out this morning to work on the broken main. an overnight fire at a beauty salon injured a person living over the business. this is the 3100 block of kensington avenue in kensington. firefighters had to help several people out from the upper floors. one man is being treated for smoke inhalation. he is in stable condition. firefighters are investigating this as a suspicious fire. fire damaged a delaware

county day care center and church. the action cam was in darby after midnight as firefighters made a final sweep of creative minds learning center. neighboring fire companies were called in to get a handle on the flames. no injuries were reported. it is unclear when the day care will open and if weekend services will be held at the church. this morning supreme court justice kevin dougherty is recovering after being attacked by a homeless man in center city. he was punched in the face near 15th and market. septa police arrest the man at broad and girard. police believe he attacked him after asking for money. philadelphia housing authority will bring down two highrise buildings at 23rd and jefferson in an hour and a half from now. it's part of a revitalization

plan for the neighborhood. trish hartman has more. >> reporter: two buildings will be imploded to make way for 1200 new apartments and low-cost town homes. in an effort to reduce crime by getting rid of highrises. you put people on top of each other, concentrated poverty. you have difficult with security, you have difficulty managing and maintaining the properties. >> reporter: this person lives nearby and notices the difference in the buildings. no drug sales. >> reporter: they use a small amount of explosives to weaken the structure and let gravity do the west. it's a safe process. >> reporter: folks who live adjacent to the implosion site will be asked to leave their homes by 5:00 a.m., the people who live in the red section are in the dust zone and encouraged

conspired to allow a catholic high school teacher in blair county to work near children despite accusations of child sex abuse. for two years we've been wading through the dark under belly of the diocese and the franciscan friars. we've got information and heard a lot of stories from victims. the teacher killed himself back in 2013. police believe he sexually accused more than ten children. bill cosby's lawyer is fighting a subpoena, a 2,500-dollar donation was made to the lawyer who promised cosby would never be charged. he said it took place months before he joined the defense team. cast tore declined to charge cosby in 2005 after andrea constand accused the comedian of

drugging and molesting home. police are investigating it is letter sent to donald trump that contained white powder. he received the letter at his highrise apartment in manhattan. the white powder is not hazardous. it threatened if donald trump stays in the race, the next envelope would not be a fake. turning to the race for president, a rally for donald trump attracted more protesters in salt lake city. utah holds its caucus tuesday night. he spoke last night, although he was heckled there was no violence at the rally. mitt romeny said he would vote for ted cruz on tuesday, saying more cruz victories will

the clouds continue to increase rather rapidly now as the first of two pieces of the system slides through later this afternoon. double scan live in the mehon time is clear. the precipitation is off to the west. temperatures in philadelphia it's cooler, 41 degrees, dewpoint, 26. pressure is starting to rise. winds out of the north at 9 miles per hour. ocean temperatures getting up there now, 46 degrees, temperatures are jumping all over the place this past week. we started out on the cooler side. and warmed up nicely. 50 on monday, tuesday, 73. wednesday, 71 degrees. thursday, 63. friday, 62. the temperatures have cooled down as the cold front slipped through across south jersey and delaware. poconos 31, allentown and reading, 33. philadelphia, 41 degrees, here's double scan live. you can see we have two pieces

of moisture here, the first is sliding through the ohio valley, the second piece which will become the coastal storm is down to the south. this time of the year we've been talking about this all week you need everything to come together just right to get big snows in the philadelphia area. in january and february you needed a couple of things to come into play. this system is moving quickly it's going to bump the coastal storm out to sea, one after the next. because the two are not coming together we are not expecting a big, sizable snowstorm in philadelphia. we never were, but we were expecting a moderate snow of 3 to 6 inches. future tracker 6, later this afternoon, cloudy conditions. we have rain showers possible, at least according to this model. it may try to mix in with the snow, but this model is

overdone. we expect highs in the 40s. 8:00 p.m., cloudy to the north, light rain to the south. overnight tonight, cloudy with a light mixture of rain and wet snow developing closer to dawn. 8:00 a.m., you'll see precipitation across south jersey and delaware. through the afternoon hours, 1, 2, 3, 4:00 p.m. cloudy conditions with a mixture of rain and wet snow. we expect light snow to develop during the day tomorrow. any accumulation will be confined to grassy surfaces. we're expecting a high of 40 degrees in philadelphia. minimum travel impacts if anything at all. here's what we decided to do with the accumulations up to this point. all the computer information is not in just yet. i'm tempted to trach this off the -- tempted to take this off

meteorologist chris sowers has an update on the forecast in just a bit. uber has launched a new service that helps you satisfy your appetite. a new stand alone app for food service called uber eats. it's been offered by uber, but the ride-hailing service said users had to use the primary app which was confusing for you. so they have created a new ios ios app. nike has power operated laces, you slip them on and press the button and the laces will tighten for you. the new hitech sneakers were unveiled at an event in new york yesterday. >> reporter: it's crazy. they are expected to be available by the holiday season. no price has been revealed yet.
